2nd) LESSON LEARNED has improved his speed figures in each of his four lifetime starts. He worked a bullet :58 flat from the gate at Keeneland on October 16, indicating he still has more upside. At 5-1 on the morning line he seems an excellent value play.

4th) CHARMING MODEL earned better speed figures as a two-year-old than most of her competition has earned at three and four. She hasn’t run in over a year, but she won first time out and trainer Dale Romans is excellent with fresh fillies.

5th) A filly who tries every time, SILK ROUTE encountered traffic woes at Saratoga so she is still eligible for this condition. There should be no mistakes today for the daughter of Empire Maker whose closing style is a great fit on the Keeneland turf.

9th) IN THE SLIPS has been working lights out for her return to the racing wars. She is fresh, fit and ready to run in the Pin Oak Valley View (G3), so if jockey Garrett Gomez can work out a good trip, the daughter of More Than Ready should be posing for pictures.
